okay. i already have a copy of the 2008 kid's alamanac. i browsed through the pages...saw the science section. i saw the planets..
1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8
i recounted it..
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...??!??
WHERE'S THE NINTH PLANET??
WHERE'S PLUTO?
i know that there has been a contorversial news about the planet pluto. it wasn't considered a planet anymore, for some scientific reasons though...
na-ahhh. what would happen to those science books that were published before that issue? what would the future generation believe in?
some points to ponder.
even though pluto is not fit enough to be called a planet...or pluto doesn't have the characteristics of a planet, why remove it from the solar system? pluto has been considered a planet for many years..yet scientists have discovered that it ain't a planet. why the need to do that?

anyway. 'nuff of it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ATE MINETTE! :)
hmm. we had a club meeting a while ago. i thought it was activity ban for us students. but activity ban meant another thing. hah. so there. final layout done? kinda. to my mortification, she said that she wouldn't be including the koolasa comics! NO WAYYY. it has been a tradition to have a koolasa comics. what is she doing??
goodness. then, we started talking about the second issue. interesting for me...because i'll be taking lots and lots and lots of pictures. adventure it is!! YAY.
the day ended. i was walking with alyssa and kismet going to gate 6...and to our shock. there was a stampede-like crowd of students, be it gradeschool or highschool, crowding, pushing each other to get out of the super narrow exit gate. unfortunately, i was in that crowd. the heartless lady guard, on the other hand, didn't bother to open the other gate, now that sucks big time. i stood there for like, 3 minutes..i could feel some students pushing me..and one little girl hit me with her stroller bag. goodness. i hate it. big time.
a tiring day it is.
and hey...
you know what...
we have this project in literature that requires us to choose one example of a work of art, falling under the category of our topic, and critique it. be it a painting, song, poem, etc...i chose, well, FRIDA KAHLO. i admire her a lot. i love her unconventional and unique style.
and then...Lizalyn, our dear president, told us to pass our projects to her..i was talking to justine when she said that. and then, i saw her put out her project--and to my surprise--i saw those familiar eyebrows of Frida. goodness!! we chose the same artist! i told her: "JUSTINE! pareho tayo ng pinili!! alam mo ba, kabirthday ko yan! sandali lang pakita ko sayo.." and i saw the amazement in her face. wow. we really chose the same artist..she was really surprised too. haha, i'd never thought someone would even dare to choose frida kahlo who is not that famous as davinci, etc...but of all people, it was only justine whom i have seen with interest to frida kahlo.
try searching on Frida Kahlo. she has an interesting life. and oh, try to see her paintings. they're wonderful [for me]..speaking of frida kahlo...check out Wawi Navarroza's wonderful works. Love'em both!! haaha.
forgive me for these kind of ramblings :)
